Abstract

Tourism recognizes the growing interest in Halal tourism from both the perspectives of industry and research. Halal tourism, often termed as Islamic tourism or Muslim friendly tourism, is a new concept in the tourism industry that opens up new and exciting opportunities for enhancing economic growth. This qualitative, exploratory study examines the idea of halal tourism as well as the elements that make up the sector. It offers samples of some of the most recent best practices from around the world. Also covered are the advantages and disadvantages of promoting and expanding Halal travel. Despite the rapid development of Halal tourism, it is still important to consider the reciprocal benefits of both Muslim and non-Muslim tourists to preserve the longevity of this sector. There has not yet been a report that goes into detail on this new type of tourism that involves so many diverse nations. It was hoped that this study would stimulate further research in this area and improve the inclusiveness of halal tourism around the world.
